Playing with words has always been part of Hollie Wolverton’s life—from winning Boggle as a kid to studying journalism in college to working in corporate communications—but it wasn’t until she became a mom that she added writing picture books to the list. A decade later, she continues making stories to inspire, enlighten, and entertain both kids and the grown-ups reading to them.

Hollie Wolverton lives and writes in rural Maine, where wildlife outnumbers people. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, Inked Voices, and the 12x12 Picture Book Challenge.
